ADDITIONAL ROAD CLOSURES: Road and Dock for Thursday, November 2, 2023

ADDITIONAL ROAD CLOSURE for Monday, November 6, 2023 

  • Clematis Street from Quadrille to Narcissus will be closed from 5:30 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. Monday, November 6: Road closed for private commercial filming.
  • Okeechobee Boulevard from I-95 to Rosemary Avenue will be closed intermittently from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Monday, November 6: Road closure for private commercial filming.

CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH ENGINEERING, PUBLIC WORKS & UTILITY ROAD CLOSURES 

  • Washington Road between Roosevelt Place and Royal Palm Road (construction extended through February 2024): Road closures as part of a streetscape redesign, including new underground utilities, sidewalks, and storm drainage improvements. The following detours are in place:
    • Northbound Washington Road traffic should go west on Monroe Drive to Olive Avenue, north on Olive Avenue to Almeria Road, and east on Almeria Road to Flagler Drive.
    • Southbound Washington Road traffic should go west on Almeria Road to Olive Avenue, south on Olive Avenue to Monroe Drive, and east on Monroe Drive to Washington Road. 
  • 7th Street between at Clear Lake Ave (through November 2023): The road is partially closed on both sides of Clear Lake Ave for storm drainage installations
  • Lake Avenue between Belvedere Road and Park Place (through November 2023): Partial road closures with flagging operations for restriping.
  • Tamarind Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and 7th Street (Construction extended through January 2024): Full road closure for utilities and roadway work.
  • Roosevelt Estates: Storm Drainage Infrastructures Improvements
    • Clear Lake Avenue & 7th Street (through December 2023): Full intersection closure, follow detour provided.
    • Golf Avenue & 7th Street (through March 2024): Full intersection closure, follow detour provided

 EVENT ROAD CLOSURES   

  • North & South Clematis Street between Narcissus Avenue and Flagler Drive, and Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street (Thursday, November 02 and Thursday, November 09, 2023, from 1 p.m. until 10 p.m.): The road is closed for Clematis by Night with Mini Market produced by City of West Palm Beach Community Events. 
  • Rosemary Avenue between Okeechobee Boulevard and Hibiscus Street (Friday, November 3, 5 p.m. through Sunday, November 5, 10 p.m.) & (Friday, November 10, 5 p.m. through Sunday, November 12, 10 p.m.): The road is closed for a street festival produced by Related. 
  • 100 Block of North and South Clematis Street, Narcissus Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Datura Street; Lantana Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and North Clematis Street; 200 block of Clematis Street (Saturday, November 4, 2023 and Saturday, November 11, 2023, from 5 a.m. to 4 p.m.)  These roads will be closed for GreenMarket in the City Commons.
  •  400 Block of Clematis Street (Saturday, November 04, 2023 and Saturday November 11, 2023, from 5:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.) The road will be closed for West Palm Beach Antique, Flea and Craft Market
  • Tamarind Avenue between 8th Street & 10th Street (Friday, November 3, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m.) Community Movie Night hosted by the City of West Palm Beach Police Department.
  • Clematis Street between Tamarind Avenue and Flagler Drive (Sunday, November 5th, 2023 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.) Palm Beach Veterans Day Parade

PRIVATE PROJECT ROAD CLOSURES

  • Roxy’s – Clematis Street between Dixie Highway and Olive Avenue (through Thursday, November 2):  Closure of the 300 block of Clematis Street to vehicular traffic in both directions. Pedestrian access is maintained; however, a short detour is in place due to closure of the northern sidewalk nearby the construction site.
  • One Flagler – Chase Street between Lakeview Avenue and Okeechobee Boulevard (through Spring 2024): The road is closed for construction. The eastern sidewalk is closed for construction.
  • One Flagler – Lakeview Avenue between Flagler Drive and Chase Street (through Spring 2024): Single lane closure due to construction. No site deliveries in the work zone. 
  • 301 Clematis Street / 300 Banyan Boulevard (through December 2023):
    • Sidewalk closures along site frontage on Banyan Boulevard and North Olive Avenue
    • Alley north of Clematis Street closed between North Olive Avenue and the Chase Bank plaza.
    • Closure of left-most lane along North Olive Avenue between Banyan Boulevard and Clematis Street.
  • The Square East/West Towers – (through December 2023):
    • Gardenia Street between Rosemary Avenue and Quadrille Boulevard, full road closure. Pedestrian access maintained along the northern side of the road.

PALM BEACH COUNTY ENGINEERING & PUBLIC WORKS ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY

  • Palm Beach Lake Boulevard east of the Palm Beach Outlets/Target Store entrance (until further notice): periodic right lane closures for pole installation and underground utility work. 
  • Roebuck Road Bridge over Florida’s Turnpike (until further notice): Temporary lane closures with flaggers controlling traffic for bridge maintenance. 
  • Congress Avenue South of Executive Drive (until further notice): Periodic northbound and southbound lane closures. Periodic nighttime northbound and southbound lane shifts with Police Officers controlling traffic for FPL pole replacements. 
  • Belvedere Road between Georgia Avenue and Dixie Highway (until further notice): Periodic daytime westbound lane closures and nighttime double lane closures with traffic shift for FPL Pole replacements.
  • 45th Street between North Haverhill Road to West of Premier Park Drive (until further notice): Periodic eastbound and westbound right lane closures. Periodic southbound right lane closure on North Jog Road. Periodic eastbound and westbound road closure starting on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. Traffic will be detoured via North Haverhill Road, Bee Line Highway and North Jog Road.
  • Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard between I-95 to US Highway 1 (until further notice): Periodic lane closures for ADA Ramp reconstruction.

FLORIDA DEPT. OF TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) ROAD CLOSURES IN THE CITY OF WPB 

  • Southern Boulevard (State Road 80) Bridge Replacement Project (through Spring 2024)
    • Flagler Drive from Southern Boulevard to Monroe Drive is closed for reconstruction. Access will be maintained for local traffic only. Traffic will be detoured as follows:
    • Traffic going north on Flagler Drive should go west on Southern Boulevard to Washington Road, north on Washington Road to Monroe Drive, and east on Monroe Drive to Flagler Drive. 
    • Traffic going south on Flagler Drive should go west on Monroe Drive, east to Washington Road, and south on Washington Road to Southern Boulevard. 
    • State Road 80/Southern Boulevard from Parker Avenue to Lake Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and nightly, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday Nov. 5 through Thursday, through Nov. 09.
    • The State Road 80/Southern Boulevard bridge from Lake Avenue to South Olive Avenue will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 8 a.m. until 4 p.m., and nightly, 8 p.m. until 5 a.m., Sunday through Thursday, for bridge repair, coating and lighting, through Nov. 30.
    • Georgia Avenue at the State Road 80/Southern Boulevard bridge underpass will undergo a full, around-the-clock closure for bridge rehabilitation work, from Wednesday, Oct. 4 through Thursday, Nov. 9. Westbound traffic will be detoured via Nottingham Boulevard, Lake Avenue and Roeland Drive. Eastbound bound traffic will be detoured via Lake Avenue and Nottingham Boulevard.

       

    • State Road 809/Military Trail at SR 882/Forest Hill Boulevard Intersection Improvements (through Winter 2024)
      • Project limits: 0.7-mile at and nearby the intersection of State Road 809 and State Road 822.
      • Work includes widening, milling, and resurfacing, constructing additional right and left turn lanes, installing new 5-foot bike lanes at various locations along State Road 882, improving sidewalks and driveways, installing four new signal mast arms at the intersection, and installing new signage and pavement markings.
      • One lane in each direction of Military Road from Sunset Ranch Road to Forest Hill Boulevard may be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for utility location and FPL pole removal.
      • The outside eastbound and westbound lanes on Forest Hill Boulevard may be closed from Haverhill Road to Kirk Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday for directional bore and signalization operations.
      • The outside northbound and southbound lanes on Military Trail may be closed from Summit Boulevard to Purdy Lane from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Friday for directional bore and signalization operations.       • Utility Construction:
      • One northbound lane on Military Road from Purdy Lane to Forest Hill Boulevard may be closed from 9:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, for utility work. For more information, please contact Ron Capobianco at 954-464-8574.

         

        Belvedere Road Improvements at the I-95 Northbound On/Off-Ramp Connection (through Summer 2024)

      • The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Belvedere Road will be closed overnight as needed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 29 through Thursday, Nov. 2. Motorists will be detoured to Belvedere Road via westbound SR 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue. The week of Nov. 5 – Nov. 9 will be used as contingency if needed. *Please note that consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
      • The I-95 southbound exit ramp to Palm Beach International Airport (PBIA) will be closed overnight as needed, 10 p.m. until 6 a.m., Sunday, Oct. 29 through Thursday, Nov. 2. Motorists will be detoured to PBIA via westbound State Road 80/Southern Boulevard and northbound Australian Avenue. The week of Nov. 5 – Nov. 9 will be used as contingency if needed. *Please note that consecutive ramps will not be closed at the same time.
      • Belvedere Road Impact:
        • Belvedere Road will have one lane closed in each direction as needed, daily, 7 a.m. until 4 p.m., and nightly, 9 p.m. until 6 a.m.

    I-95 Lighting & Safety Improvements from Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard to 45th Street (through Early 2024)

    • I-95 between Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard and 45th Street will have the inside and outside shoulders closed in each direction as needed, daily, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • The I-95 southbound entrance and exit ramps at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard will have the outside shoulder closed as needed, daily, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • The I-95 northbound entrance and exit ramps at Palm Beach Lakes Boulevard will have the outside shoulder closed as needed, daily, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • The I-95 southbound entrance and exit ramps at 45th Street will have the outside shoulder closed as needed, daily, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
    • The I-95 northbound entrance and exit ramps at 45th Street will have the outside shoulder closed as needed, daily, 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

      CITY OF WEST PALM BEACH DOCKS

    • Currie Park Boat Docks and Ramps (2400 North Flagler Drive): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset.
    • Lake Mangonia Park Boat Ramps (2957 North Australian Avenue): Ramps are open daily, from sunrise to sunset. 
    • Clematis Street Docks (South Clematis Street at South Flagler Drive): Docks are open daily, from 5 a.m. until midnight.
    • Fern Street Dock (Fern Street at South Flagler Drive): The dock is open daily from 5 a.m. until midnight. No overnight dockage is allowed for boats, dinghies, or kayaks. The Fern Dock is also the home of a West Palm Beach Marine Patrol Boat and the West Palm Beach Fire and Rescue Boat
