New WPB Firefighters Train For Water Rescues

The West Palm Beach Fire Department is training a new class of recruits on all facets of firefighting and rescue. Here’s a glimpse of the water rescue training the recruits get to be prepared to save lives.

 

Upcoming Street Improvement Road Closures

The City of West Palm Beach will be implementing road closures this coming weekend at the intersection of Quadrille Boulevard and Clematis Street for street paving. Click on the link below for additional information on what roads will be affected.

 

SunFest 2023 is Almost Here!

Don’t miss out on this year’s SunFest! Join us for three days of live music, sun, and delicious food along the waterfront. With headliners like Jack Johnson, The Chainsmokers, and Flo Rida, this is an event you won’t want to miss.

SunFest begins on Friday, May 5, and runs through Sunday, May 7, 2023.

 

Join Us in the City Nature Challenge 2023

Help West Palm Beach show the world how amazing our City is for both people and nature by joining us in an epic contest to discover and record as much wildlife as possible over four days. The challenge begins Friday, April 28 and runs until Monday, May 1, 2023.

Earth Day Cleanup at Currie Park

West Palm Beach residents celebrated Earth Day by cleaning up Currie Park and adjacent Intracoastal waters. The cleanup was a joint project of Keep West Palm Beach Beautiful, Visit Palm Beaches, and the Beach Bucket Foundation.

Earth Day started in 1970, but there is still much to do to keep our planet clean and safe.

 

Vegetation Amnesty Days Continue through May 5

In preparation for the 2023 Hurricane season, City of West Palm Beach residents are encouraged to place an unlimited amount of vegetative waste curbside now until Friday, May 5, 2023. Pickups will take place on your regularly scheduled pickup days at no additional cost to you.

Vegetation includes grass clippings, leaves, tree, shrubbery cuttings or trimmings, broken or cut tree limbs and logs, and other vegetation incidental to the care of lawns and gardens.

Recent Policy Actions, Next City Commission Meeting

The next City Commission meeting will be held on Monday, May 1 at 5 p.m. in City Hall, 401 Clematis Street. Commission meetings are held every other Monday, except for holidays, and the public is encouraged to attend.
