Celebrate Juneteenth with historical and cultural events

County offices and libraries will be closed Monday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth National Independence Day, a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the end of slavery in the country.

    Artwalk Presents the Richmond Heights Juneteenth Celebration, a free community festival designed to provide families with a fun-filled day of activities for all ages.

    Copa Cabana 2023 is a celebration of Haitian culture featuring live music, DJs, food vendors and more.

  • Saturday, June 17, 1-5 p.m.
    The third annual F.I.U. Juneteenth Freedom Day Celebration at the Modesto A. Maidique Campus in Westchester is a free event open to the entire community and will feature musical performances, local artisan vendors, activities, dancers, food trucks, raffles and more fun for the whole family. Registration is required.

    The third annual Juneteenth Park-In and Party Celebration at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens will feature hometown comedian Marvin Dixon and music by DJ Bo Weezy

    Hued Songs presents The Juneteenth Experience ,a multidisciplinary, immersive performance of our American Holiday, Juneteenth, at the Miami Beach Bandshell. The performance includes a diverse cast of local artists ranging from spoken word, song, dance and animation
