Grants available for business owners

Miami-Dade Economic Advocacy Trust (MDEAT) is accepting applications for it’s Business Resource and Education $2,500 Grant Program.

A total of 24 grants will be awarded to qualified start-up businesses to improve or stabilize neighborhood businesses throughout Miami-Dade County.

The grant can be used for the following: inventory/supplies/other than food item, business equipment, marketing/advertisting, business expansion and technology (computer, software, copier, etc.)

A business must be operating for at least six months and no more than two years. 

During the workshop, attendees can receive program applications, access County resources and connect with technical assistance organizations.

Applications can be emailed online via grant application link or dropped off to the MDEAT office, 601 NW 1st Court, Suite 2132, Miami, FL 3326.

Deadline to apply Monday, Aug. 14.
