Florida CARES Program – Deadline June 8, 2020
The Florida Department of State Division of Cultural Affairs is the recipient of funding through the National Endowment for the Arts through the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The Florida CARES program will be carried out through one-time grants with no match requirement. The funding allocation will be based on prior panel adjudication that determined FY 2019-2020 General Program Support grants. Awards will start at $1,000 and total no more than $3,000 each.
PLEASE NOTE: All applicants must be exclusively FY 2019-2020 General Program Support Grantees of the Florida Division of Cultural Affairs that are NOT public entities or multipurpose public or private nonprofit organizations, including support organizations for these entities.
Eligibility
• Must be an active Florida nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) whose mission directly support arts and cultural programming.
• Must have an award in the General Program Support Program for the 2019-2020 Fiscal Year.
• Must be in good standing with the Division.

Support is limited to the following:
• Salary support, full or partial, for one or more positions that are critical to an organization’s mission.
• Facilities costs such as rent and utilities.

$15 Million in IMLS CARES Act Grants Now Available for Museums and Library Services
Deadline June 12, 2020
In response to COVID-19, the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) announced two new funding opportunities for museums, libraries, federally recognized tribes, and organizations that primarily serve Native Hawaiians.
IMLS CARES Act Grants for Museums and Libraries supports museums and libraries in addressing their communities’ immediate and future needs caused by the pandemic. Projects may focus on preserving jobs, training staff, addressing the digital divide, planning for reopening, or providing technical support and capacity building for digital inclusion and engagement. Applicants are encouraged to prioritize services for high-need communities.
IMLS CARES Act Grants for Native American/Native Hawaiian Museum and Library Services assists tribes and organizations that primarily serve and represent Native Hawaiians in responding to the urgent and future needs of their communities. Applications focused on digital inclusion, technical support, rehiring or retraining staff, reopening planning, and other pandemic-related priorities are welcomed.

The selected artist(s) will design unique artwork(s) that will contribute to the identity of this facility and engage employees, visitors, and passers-by in unexpected and delightful ways. Call for Grant Panelists
Every year the Department of Cultural Affairs relies on the services of volunteer panelists who review and evaluate cultural grant applications and make funding recommendations. Currently all grant panels are held on online. Panelists play a key role and help maintain a fair and open process and assist in the continuous development of Miami-Dade County’s artistic and cultural communities by bringing their expertise to the panel review process. Panels are comprised of artists, arts-related professionals, educators, community members, business leaders and others with current or prior active involvement in the arts. Many panelists are arts professionals who are qualified by their activities, training, skills, and/or experience in one or more art forms; however, we equally welcome arts enthusiasts, advocates, and supporters to apply. MAMP Lab: Fundraising During COVID-19

The May Miami Arts Marketing Project LAB has pivoted to addressing what is happening to the arts now and designed a topic around fundraising. The goal for Fundraising in the Time of COVID is twofold – showcase innovative outreach and fundraising activations and discuss how arts organizations should focus their fundraising strategies. The program will feature a super star panel discussing corporate giving, virtual fundraisers, patrons, donors and membership. Registration is $25. Americans for the Arts
Has the CARES Act helped you?
Congress passed a historic $2.3 trillion CARES Act package to financially support small businesses and gig workers impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. On April 21st, additional funds were added to replenish the most popular programs.
Americans for the Arts and the Arts Action Fund need your help in capturing data on how arts groups and individual artists have tapped these funds, including IRS stimulus funds, SBA loans, and pandemic unemployment. Please take five minutes to complete the Americans for the Arts’ CARES Act Arts Funding Tracker. This data is being collected from arts and cultural nonprofit organizations and commercial companies, as well as self-employed arts workers and independent arts contractors
This data will help AFTA quickly inform Congress and other decision-makers on how the CARES Act impacted the arts sector and what the needs are for the future. This is also the place for you to tell YOUR story about how the arts are being engaged in your community’s COVID-19 response or recovery effort.
