The Community Grants program supports cultural programs, projects and events, such as fairs, parades and neighborhood festivals. The program funds arts projects with strong community involvement and/or outreach component and is particularly sensitive to the needs of indigenous cultural neighborhood activities and projects encouraging the preservation of heritage, traditions and culture, as well as social service organizations and cultural groups developing collaborative intervention projects using the arts.

Tourist Development Grants Program (TDC)

The Tourist Development Council grants program provides support to nonprofit and for-profit organizations presenting significant cultural or special events, including sports activities and television and film origination projects that promote Miami-Dade County’s appeal as a tourist destination.

South Arts – Southern Prize & State Fellowships for Visual Arts

The Southern Prize and State Fellowships is open to visual artists in our nine-state region to support, expose, and celebrate the breadth, depth and diversity of artistic excellence. Applications are now open and will close on January 8, 2024. Visit the website for guidelines for details.

Energizing and Activating Your Nonprofit Board of Directors

When executive directors and staff of arts organizations get together to share stories, one of their topics is often to report that their board members aren’t as engaged as they would like them to be. Join Goucher College webinar examining ways to improve relationships between nonprofit Executive Directors and their Boards. Topics will include ways to animate board meetings, inspire participation, galvanize fundraising, and spark new conversations. Tips and tools will be practical and immediately useable, ranging from immediate motivation to board involvement in strategic planning and fund development.

Miami Arts, Culture and Heritage Months
Early Bird Registration Ends October 31, 2023
Miami Arts, Culture and Heritage Months runs from December 1, 2023 – January 31, 2024 and spotlights Greater Miami and Miami Beach’s preeminent arts, culture and heritage scene. The two-month long program invites Miamians and locals to discover how various traditions have left their mark as they explore the Wynwood arts district, Opa-locka history, Miami Beach Cuisine, and more – while garnering excitement and awareness for partners and offerings.
