Giménez questioned witnesses in a full Homeland Security Committee hearing entitled Havoc in the Heartland: How Secretary Mayorkas’ Failed Leadership has Impacted the States to examine Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas severe and continued dereliction of duty. Secretary Mayorkas’ refusal to enforce our laws at our southern border has undone any semblance of order and compromised the security of our nation.
